SpeciesDatabase.com is trying to amass a large collection of information on all species that we can. All contributions can be made by users to the site, currently information can only be edited and added on species currently in the database, and new species can not yet be added. This feature should hopefully be available shortly so that we can expand a lot easier.

Random Species

Fruit fly
A fly's wings are capable of beating at up to 220 times per second. Flies fly via straight sequences of movement with random rapid turns of direction called saccades. During one of these turns, a fly is able to rotate 90 degrees in fewer than 50 milliseconds.
